Meet Our Staff
Scott Bigelow
Scott Bigelow, President of Bigelow Electrical / BigPower seen here in a candid photo while working on a customer quotation. Scott is the third generation to work at Bigelow Electrical and has experienced many changes in the market for the company. The days when repairing an oil burner motor have given way to larger industrial repairs. The need for reliable power, or “Power Insurance”, has increased and resulted in growth for the Standby Generator Division (BigPower). OSHA Inspection and Workers Compensation Insurance requirements have made the Hoist Division more important to customer's facility management programs. Whatever you need, Bigelow Electrical/ BigPower puts the customer in charge for motor, pump, hoist, and generator requirements.
Bob O'Halloran
Generator Service Manager at Bigelow Electrical/ BigPower has returned by popular demand after approximately 10 years managing a “Big Box” store. Bob is a licensed electrician, and even though he is not using his electrical license at Bigelow Electrical/ BigPower, his experience and understanding for communication to electricians working with generator customers is extremely beneficial for the specialized standby generator field. Bob is continuing his factory generator training with the most recent control and program updates to complement his vast engine diagnostic troubleshooting experience. He has “hit the ground running” in all areas of Bigelow Electrical/ BigPower from his former years of employment here regarding electrical motors, hoists, and pumps to support all customers to make even the most extensive service repair move smoothly and efficiently. Customers overwhelmingly welcome Bob back to care for their related concerns.
Steve Malburne
Senior Hoist Service Manager at Bigelow Electrical/ BigPower worked previously here for approximately 15 years and has returned after a short time working for a friendly competitor. Steve is a licensed hoisting engineer with vast experience in all aspects of electrical motors (including rewinding), pump, hoist (complete installation & service), and standby generators. The discipline he learned from his active duty in the armed forces is evident in his methodical OHSA hoist inspections, independent thinking ability, and team attitude to completely support all customers.

Today we say a very HAPPY RETIREMENT to Thane Youngsma after 24 years of service to Bigelow Electrical/ BigPower! Thane took a leap of faith all those years ago to work with Scott in creating an outstanding field-servicing Generator Department that has grown immensely over time. Thane has fondly been referred to as our "generator guru" and promises that he will always be only a phone call away shall anyone ever need his advisement as we continue to move forward.
